Switching Supplier


If you want to switch Power Supplier you can visit any PPC branch or call the Customer Service Line on 11770 so as to sign a new Power Supply Contract in your name. You will need to submit the following documentation: 

  • Your latest electricity bill with your current Supplier (paid or with a debt repayment plan in place)
  • Your meter reading 
  • The company seal
  • Proof of your Tax ID No. (any public document such as a statement of tax payable, Tax ID No. certificate, property declaration from the TAXIS system, Business commencement certificate)
  • ID card or passport of the company's’ representative
  • For your own assurance, you may also be asked to provide proof of submission of rental details from the TAXIS system or the title deeds.

When you sign the new Power Supply Contract, you will need to pay the guaranteeTo find out more about the payable guarantee, you can contact our Customer Service Line by calling 11770 and quoting the Supply Number for the property or the Contract Account Number.

If a representative is signing on your behalf, a certified original authorisation, stamped by the police or Citizens Service Centre (KEP), plus the representative’s ID Card, will be needed.

Additional documents needed depending on the type of company: 

in the case of a General or Limited Partnership
- a copy of the company’s Articles of Association as entered in the General Commercial Registry (GCR) or certificate from the Companies Department of the Local Court of First Instance, indicating who the representative(s) is/are.

in the case of a Limited Liability company (LTD) 
-  a copy of the latest Articles of Association in force, taken from the Government Gazette, indicating the General Commercial Registry (GCR) number. If the GCR number is not indicated, you will need to submit a certificate from the General Secretariat for Trade & Commerce or the local Region.
- extract from the Minutes of the Board of Directors, designating the company's representative / administrator. 

in the case of Societes Anonyme (SA)
-  a copy of the latest Articles of Association in force, taken from the Government Gazette, indicating the General Commercial Registry (GCR) number. If the GCR number is not indicated, you will need to submit a certificate from the General Secretariat for Trade & Commerce or the local Region.
- extract from the minutes of the latest General Meeting on election of the Board.
- extract from the Minutes of the Board of Directors, designating the company's representative / administrator.

in the case of Private Companies 
- a copy of the Articles of Association which was entered in the General Commercial Registry (GCR).
- a decision of the Private Company appointing the company's administrator.

in the case of Foundations and Organisations 
- a copy of the foundation or organisation’s Articles of Association.

In the case of Shipping Companies 
- a copy of the latest Articles of Association of the Company in force, taken from the Government Gazette.
- a copy of the most recent certificate from the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping & Tourism, confirming the company's establishment and its legal representative. 


NOTE: If the new Power Supply Contract remains in the same name of a person already registered in the Network Operator’s database (HEDNO) based on information provided by your current Supplier, then an official electrical fitter’s inspection (Licensed Electrician Certification) is not required.  If the new Power Supply Contract is under a different name, then, a Licensed Electrician Certification will need to be submitted to the network operator (HEDNO), if the previous one has expired.
