Announcement
Public Power Corporation S.A. announces that, honoring its commitments, has deposited to the Loans and Consignment Fund an amount of € 144,135,000 for the compensation of the owners of 862 properties for the relocation of the Pontokomi village.
Upon receipt of the above mentioned compensations the residents of the historic village will be able to relocate to the designated area, which has been prepared by the Kozani Municipality and the Region of Western Macedonia. The Pontokomi relocation is deemed necessary for the exploitation of the underlying lignite reserves, which will supply the new “Ptolemais V” unit.
In this way, PPC makes another important step for the implementation of its capex plan.
