Payment of electricity bills

Following our previous announcement dated 16.11.2011, regarding the payment of electricity bills, PPC clarifies that, on the 18th of November, nine working days following the due date of the first bills that include the real estate special levy imposed by Law 4021/11, more than 78% of the total bills issued have been already collected. That is, out of the 86,187 bills that have become due, 67,140 have been already paid.
In addition, PPC notes that:

- Today, the 21st of November, contrary to what is mentioned in certain press reports, the relevant department of PPC S.A sent the orders for power cuts as scheduled.

- In anticipation of the new Ministerial Decision concerning the real estate special levy, which might include changes compared to the previous one, PPC’s Management has instructed the suspension of the power cuts that are related to the non payment of electricity bills which include the real estate special levy.

- Power cuts for unpaid electricity bills that are not in any way related with the real estate special levy are being carried out normally. However, this only concerns a small percentage of our customers, as the majority continues to pay electricity bills.
