LNG procurement by PPC S.A. for the 1st quarter of 2011

                                                        ANNOUNCEMENT



PPC S.A. announces that, under the framework of its fuel procurement policy, and following the decision of the Board of Directors for the procurement of LNG for the first quarter of 2011, it completed the tendering process for the submission of offers for the respective LNG cargoes.

The process was successfully concluded, with the submission of binding offers by 5 major companies. The offers were at competitive prices, thus leading to savings on the fuel cost for PPC.
