Type of bill
“ACTUAL” (BILL based on actual reading) : The bill includes the amount corresponding to the customer's electric usage for the entire consumption period (quarterly or monthly), minus the amount already charged on the interim Estimated Bill (“ESTIMATED”) in the field “ΑΞΙΑ ΡΕΥΜΑΤΟΣ ΕΝΑΝΤΙ” (ESTIMATED ELECTRICITY USAGE).

For customers who are beneficiaries of the Social Residential Tariff (KOT), there is a specific indication “ΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΚΟ ΤΙΜΟΛΟΓΙΟ” (Social Residential Tariff) provided that the Actual Bill is calculated based on the prices of the Social Residential Tariff.

“ESTIMATED” (BILL based on estimated reading): The bill is calculated based on the customer’s usage history such electricity consumption for the billing period of the previous year and the usage for the current year. 

“EXCEPTIONAL”: bill issued on dates that are not included in the regular dates of metering (e.g. due to bill correction).

“FINAL”: bill issued following the Termination of the Power Supply Contract.

Tariff
Type of Tariff provided (e.g. Γ1- Residential non-off-peak Tariff, Γ1Ν-Residential Off-peak Tariff, Γ21-General Energy/Commercial Tariff κλπ) according to the signed Power Supply Contract. In cases of customers who are integrated into the Vulnerable Customers Registry, or they are beneficiaries of the Social Residential Tariff, there is additional relevant indication depending on the integration category (ΚΟΤ/Α, ΚΟΤ/Β, ΕΥΑ/Η etc.).

Electricity consumption period for which you are being charged on the current bill. Under it, the exact number of days for the billing period is stated.

IPTO-HEDNO
IPTO: Power Transmission System
Covers IPTO’s expenses (Independent Power Transmission Operator) for the operation, maintenance and development of the HV Transmission Network (e.g. pylons) so as to assure the country’s electricity supply.

HEDNO: Electricity Distribution Network
It covers HEDNO’s expenses for the operation, maintenance and development of the MV and LV Distribution Network so as to assure normal and uninterrupted power supply of the properties.

For Services of General Interest (SGI):
They refer to charges to all consumers for services such as power supply to customers of the non-interconnected islands and  provision of special tariffs to large families and beneficiaries of the Social Residential Tariff.

b)   «ΕΙΔ. ΤΕΛΟΣ 5‰ (SPECIAL DUTY 5‰) (L.2093/92)»: PPC collects the Special Duty in the electricity bills and renders it to the State. The Special Duty 5‰ is calculated in the Bills based on actual reading (“ACTUAL”) based on the consumed electricity increased by the Excise duty.

The following are included in the table:
a) number of the meter and the type of indication (e.g. day or night).

b) meter(s) indications the total consumption. 

c)  Contractual Capacity (kVA):  as derived from the agreement of property connection with the network.  

d) Transformation Coefficient: The coefficient is multiplied with the meter reading consumption in order to calculate the actual electricity consumption. If, for example, this coefficient is 40 and the measured consumption is 100, then, 4.000 kWh (=40X100) were consumed during the specific billing period. This refers to supplies with contractual capacity of over 85 kVA. 

c) Power factor (cosφ): calculated for certain customer categories with high contractual capacity. It is calculated on the basis of the active and reactive energy usage. For all other customers, the power factor is considered to be equal to the unit (συνφ=1). 

d) Chargeable Demand (KW): calculated for power supplies greater than 35 kVA and indicates the maximum power required for the specific billing period.
