Frequently Asked Questions regarding the new relief measures
To facilitate and support our clients in this difficult period we are going through due to the coronavirus, PPC continues to support its clients by expanding and strengthening the financial relief measures from 1.10.2020 until 31.12.2020:
  • Abolition of the fixed fee charge in Low-voltage Domestic Tariffs, Γ1, Γ1N and in Professional Tariffs Γ21, Γ22 & Γ23, as well as in the Agricultural Invoice.
  • 8% discount from the abolition of the 2nd tier in the energy bill of the Household tariffs (Γ1, Γ1N). With the abolition, the charge price for daily consumptions over 2.000kWh (2nd tier) is equal to that of the 1st tier, i.e. the charge from 0,11936€/kWh is reduced to 0,11058€/kwh.
  • 8% discount on the energy bill of the Professional tariffs, Γ21, Γ22, Γ23 for daily consumptions over 2.000kWh per four-month periods.
  • Additional 8% discount on the commission charge to Vulnerable clients (excluding CTOs) who fall into the B&C categories, i.e. to those who need mechanical support and to those over 70 years old, who have been included in the Register of Vulnerable Clients, after application through IDIKA (Government Gazette B '5030 / 13.11.2018).
  • Increase of the discount provided for each account received electronically, from 5 € for the bimonthly and 2,5 € for the monthly, from 5 € for the bimonthly and 2,5 € for the monthly, even if they have chosen one of the new MyHomeOnline products, MyHomeEnter.
  • Abolition of the 1€ print fee for every printed bill.
The new favorable measures will be valid from 1.10.2020 until 31.12.2020.
The new favorable measures benefit almost all clients, namely:
  • Household clients with Γ1, Γ1Ν tariffs.
  • Clients with Social Residential Tariff (ΚΤΟ).
  • Vulnerable B and C, i.e. clients whose household composition includes one or more persons in need of mechanical support and those who have reached the seventieth (70th) year of age, provided that there is no other adult household member who has not completed the above age limit (Government Gazette B '5030/13.11.2018).
  • Professionals with Γ21, Γ22, Γ23 tariffs.
  • All clients who have opted or will opt to receive their account only electronically.
This is because the bill relates to a period longer than the period of application of the favorable measures, so the bill shows the consumption ratio according to the period of application of each price list (until 25.03.2020 regarding the old prices and from 26.03.2020 regarding the new reduced prices).
All categories of Vulnerable clients are benefited. The KTOs are benefited because the charging prices of the basic tariffs Γ1 and Γ1N are reduced and the other categories are benefited from the 8% discount on the commission charge.
Clients who are included in the Social Residential Tariff (KTO) in addition to the discount they already receive from the state amounting to 0,075€/kWh (KTO A) and 0,045€/kWh (KTO B), also benefit just like all other household clients from the abolition of the fixed fee and the 2nd tier in the energy charge for consumptions over 2.000kWh; additionally, in case they opt to their bill only electronically, they benefit from the relevant discount of €10 per bi-monthly or €5 per monthly bill.
